Jools (which is short for Sebastian. Don’t ask) is... well, he’s special. It’s universally agreed upon by everyone who’s ever had the misfortune to meet him that there is definitely something wrong with the boy; the only problem is no one can seem to agree upon just what his problem is.

Jools has been hopelessly in love with Hannah ever since he first met her. She’s perfect, and in his eyes, she can do no wrong. Jools is planning on marrying her, and knows that everything will be wonderful. He just wishes that Hannah would realise this and stop dating other men. Especially other men who cheat on her or don’t buy her drinks.

He has a fairly decent relationship with Hannah’s mum, Mrs. Grayshot. For reasons unknown to anyone, Hannah included, she tolerates him in the house, but usually only for short periods of time. This is primarily because she’s afraid that he’ll burn the house down. This is, of course, a completely justified fear, as he spent almost the entirety of 1987 in a young offender’s institution for burning down the neighbour’s garden shed. But it wasn’t his fault, as he’ll be quick to tell you. After all, how was he supposed to know that those jerry cans full of petrol would be flammable?

He’s also quite clumsy, easily side-tracked, and often very difficult to talk to. Somehow, this seems to vanish when he’s on stage with his band, White Bait. Even though they’re not terribly good, performing on stage with them gives Jools a small burst of confidence, even if only just for a few minutes.

A London native, he gets around primarily on his less-than-reliable moped, but he still has his L-Plates, so you’d be wise to stay very far away from him on the streets.

Note on Appearance:

Yes, he does resemble a fairly large number of other pups in the bar -- two of which are played by this mun. Currently, he's not aware of any other "doubles," American, Scottish, or English (he's been told he looks like Tim Bisley, but Jools isn't actually aware of anything weird going on). While the resemblance to the other Simon Pegg PBs can be rather startling, he and Tim Bisley look similar enough to possibly be mistaken for twins. Face-stealer/doppelgänger shenanigans are always welcome.

Even though the actor did change for the character after the first series, the pup's PB is Simon Pegg, as he was in the second and third series, and will be played to match this portrayal.

Time Line

Jools' friend Nick has just recently returned from India, where he was backpacking with his girlfriend, Hannah. For Jools, it was love at first sight, and he's now pining quite hard over a girl that's dating his best friend. He hasn't yet made any moves, though. Because Nick is his best mate.

Jools is from Faith in the Future, and is the property of ITV3. He appears here solely for the purpose of role-playing in mixed_muses, from which no profit whatsoever is being made.


While it's never officially addressed in canon, all signs seem to point to Jools being somewhere on the autism spectrum. The mun is playing him as such, so Jools may prove to be slightly aggravating at times. He doesn't mean to be, though. He can't help the way he is.
